Roles Summary

This is a key position in our property management group requiring a highly experienced property manager who is passionate about people management and customer service. You will work collaboratively with our property management and realty teams to help shape and influence the direction of our property management team.

The Property Manager’s Key Responsibilities

  • Highly experienced with budget and reporting management

  • Passionate about sustainability initiatives and processes
  • Experienced with capital project management;
  • Ability to carry out analysis of building data
  • Coordination of all property related matters
  • Managing and planning of facility budgets
  • Strong understanding of building plans, building codes and the construction process
  • Responsible to review and approve all accounts payable relating to the properties
  • Able to conduct regular property inspections
  • Expected to respond to certain types of emergency situations outside normal office hours

Required Competencies

  • Post-secondary education preferably in business administration or equivalent RPA or CPM designations (as asset)
  • Minimum of 5 years of property management experience with exposure to office properties, preferably medical
  • Excellent people management skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with budget preparation including all revenue and expense categories and ability to read and analyse financial statements
  • Experience with managing multiple vendors and small capital projects
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Ability to work flexible hours as necessary
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK), Knowledge of YARDI a definite asset;
  • Own vehicle and valid insurance is essential.
